Burglaries and suspect individuals
The Parish Clerk and some Councillors have been advised that there have been people in the village and surrounds “surveying” for broadband or the Environment Agency. Having contacted the relevant bodies it appears that these individuals are bogus.
Please take extra care – a walk in burglary has occurred recently and although these incidents may not be linked bear in mind that individuals with formal appointment to do any public activity will carry photo ID, this ID will contain contact details to check the accuracy and authority of the individual. If in doubt dial the company concerned using a number from an independent source, check this web site – the Clerk often received formal notification prior to surveying or audit or Dial 101 if suspicious.
Street Lights
The nights are drawing in and it then becomes noticeable that street lamps are not working properly – should you notice this to be the case please contact the Clerk identify where the lamp is and whether the issue is flicker or not working.
A map below shows where the indicated lights are and their reference numbers
